Year In Review!

BOUGHT A HOUSE!

After a year of house hunting that had us all over the map of Northern VA we found the perfect first home for us. It's a 10 minute drive into downtown DC in an up-and-coming area of Arlington, VA. We sacrificed the big house for the lifestyle of being close to the city - while we're still young, anyways ;) The decorating process is almost where I want it to be, but we also have a list of projects to complete in the next few months. The painting is finished and makes me so happy to have color on all the walls :) Our neighborhood is full of young professionals in the same stage of life! Many newlyweds, newborns and moms-to-be. We feel very lucky to have been able to stay this close to the city.

TIED THE KNOT!!

On July 25th, 2009 we got married in Morgantown, WV. Justin had his heart set on the new WVU Alumni Center so I called the day after he proposed. We secured the last date for summer '09. Rumor has it that it's now a two year wait for the venue! It was an unforgettable day celebrated with the best family and friends anyone could ask for! The planning was stressful especially from 4 hours away, but it was all worth it :) We honeymooned @ Sandals Whitehouse Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

ADOPTED A PUPPY!

In November we welcomed Vera into our lives to make us a family of three! Poor girl has had to learn to respond to the many nicknames we've created for her - ViVi, Vivs, Viva, Doodle, Doodie, Honeydew....and the list goes on. We are proud of our energetic, but highly affectionate Vizsla :) I can't believe our 40-pounder will be turning one on September 11th! Look how small she was :( She has definitely kept us on our toes, but we really enjoy having her around. Such a personality!
